If this 22nd inception point is exceeded by a rise in the price of gold in dollars, a 23rd inception point is chosen, always higher, never lower. In this way the Valun maintains and builds its purchasing power. Details in this blog.

NOTE 4/25/21: For about the last week we have observed delays in reporting and closes when they come that seem to attempt to short the markets on gold and silver. Though this does go on all the time, the past week's performances have seemed manipulated. When or if this subsides, this note will be removed. We'll then resume the usual times posted for market daily closes.

SPECIAL NOTE: Each change in the Valun price is updated by hand. Between 5/10/21 and 5/24/21 regular Valun updates will not take place and will resume after that date.
